What is Happening?
A section of Lower Lake Road from Central Services to Prospect Bridge and sidewalks leading to the Art Museum will be receiving new pavement in conjunction with the paving operation on Chapin Road.
- Temporary road closures are scheduled to occur on July 27th, July 29th and July 30th.
- Signage will be placed to direct pedestrian access around the work area as required.
- Central Services will remain open and in use while work occurs.
- Vehicle access to Prospect Parking and Central Services upper parking lot will be closed during periods on Monday the 27th, open on July 28th, and closed the entirety of Wednesday the 29th for paving. Please refer to the attached logistic plans.
- Lower Lake Road bus stop outside Blanchard Hall and Art Museum will be closed during this three day operation.
When?
- Work hours are from 7 am to 430 pm.
- Saturday, July 25, work begins with demolition of the North section of sidewalk of the Art Museum circle. Vehicle access on Lower Lake Road will not be affected on this day.
- Monday, July 27, Lower Lake Road will be closed no later than 7 am. The road will be reopened to vehicle access by the end of day.
- Tuesday, July 28, will have no work due to rain. Roads are fully open.
- Wednesday, July 29, new pavement will be placed on Lower Lake Road from Central Services to Prospect Bridge including all noted sidewalks. Please see the attached logistics plan for specific details.
- Thursday, July 30, Chapin Road and Mary Woolley Circle to be paved. Lower Lake road is expected to be reopened starting at 7 am.
- Friday, July 31, all roads are expected to be reopened starting at 7 am including Chapin Road and Mary Woolley Circle.
