Mount Holyoke is preparing a new location for Disability Services and establishing its first dedicated testing center on the garden level of Ciruti, in space formerly occupied by the Language & Culture Commons. Following facilities work to prepare the space, the move is anticipated to take place in January 2027. Until then, Disability Services will remain in its current location in Mary Lyon Hall.
The new testing center will provide dedicated space for students with approved testing accommodations. Planning is also underway to identify alternative spaces for activities previously held in the Language & Culture Commons.
Testing center pilot this fall
This fall, the College is piloting processes for scheduling and using testing center space. Disability Services and the Office of Academic Deans are working together to identify courses with a high need and will contact instructors as space becomes available.
Because the pilot has limited capacity, instructors should not request testing center space at this time. Additional information about the testing center and its scheduling processes will be shared as plans develop.
